Brit acting legend unrecognisable with huge bushy beard – can you guess who it is?

ACTOR Hugh Laurie stepped out looking unrecognisable with a huge bushy beard at the weekend.

The 62-year-old star - who first made his name in Blackadder and later Fox medical drama television series House - looked miles different from his clean-cut image.

The TV star, who usually sports a clean-shaven look, was spotted taking his dog for a walk in the London on Sunday.

Making sure he stayed warm, Hugh opted for casual winter attire - wearing a pair of black trousers, a navy jumper, a matching beanie and some comfy trainers.

Despite looking different from his onscreen roles, the TV favourite still looked dapper as he enjoyed a stroll in the capital ahead of the release of his new three-part series Why Didn't They Ask Evans?

The star let his dog have a play in a park as he soaked up the sunshine on the chilly afternoon walk.

The actor has been busy directing Agatha Christie's Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? starring Will Poulter and Lucy Boynton.

The captivating murder-mystery, which boasts an all-star cast, is based on the iconic 1934 novel of the same name.

It follows vicar’s son Bobby Jones, played by Will Poulter and his adventurous friend, socialite Lady Frances Derwent, as they dig deep into a murder.

But their amateur sleuthing unravels a whole web of secrets.

There are some huge names in the cast too, with Jim Broadbent and Emma Thompson playing aristocrats Lord and Lady Marcham, who are the parents of Lady Frances.

The Night Manager actor Hugh Laurie will play psychologist Dr James Nicholson.

This is Hugh's first major directing role, he said: "The hairs on the back of my neck haven’t properly settled down from the first time I grasped the beauty of the essential mystery.
