Tom Parker called The Wanted the ‘Dream Team’ after posting picture of the band from final gig
THE Wanted’s Tom Parker called his bandmates the “Dream Team” in a heartbreaking final post dedicated to his pals before he passed away.
The star, whose death aged 33 from brain cancer was revealed today, shared a throwback of him and his band from the final night of their recent UK tour.
The poignant image shows Tom laughing as he joined his pals on stage on a throne, which he sat on for all his performances after being forced to use a wheelchair backstage.
Sporting sunglasses and a white varsity-style jacket, Tom can be seen beaming in the picture sat next to Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuinness, and Nathan Sykes.
He captioned the snap: “Dream Team ❤️.”
Max was quick to reply: “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

And The Wanted fans soon followed suit, heaping praise on the boys.
One wrote: “You are Thee Dream Team and will always be our boys 💙. I chose the best band ever to love.”
A second said: “We love you forever ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
And a third added: “Your smile is literally everything 🥺❤️.”
Tom was hailed a “true hero” for managing to join his bandmates on stage throughout the tour.
He only missed a couple of dates at the start of the tour while he was having treatment, but then saw out the rest of the dates.
The star tragically leaves behind children Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, as well as his wife Kelsey, 32.
Kelsey told The Sun today: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.
“Our hearts are broken.
“Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.
“We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout. He fought until the very end.”
Kelsey shared two moving photographs on Instagram as she announced the news this evening.
