CORONATION Street fans are discovering the soap’s official colouring book is as depressing as some of the plotlines.
Launched in August, the activity book by Glenda Young features 45 drawings of memorable moments spanning the history of Britain’s longest-running soap.
But fans are being expected to colour in scenes involving death and destruction — despite it being billed as “relaxing” on Amazon.
Drawings include the tram crash that killed Ashley Peacock and Molly Dobbs, Deirdre Rachid locked behind bars and Mike Baldwin’s death in the arms of rival Ken Barlow.
Other events depicted are Richard Hillman plunging his car into a canal and cancer-ridden Hayley Cropper’s final trip to Blackpool before husband Roy helped her die.
Listed for £10, the book is intended as a visual history of the soap, which began in 1960.
It also features still images from the ITV archive and character profiles.
