The 33-year-old singer - who is using a wheelchair after treatment for his inoperable brain tumour left him too weak to stand - joined the lads in singing their biggest hit, Glad You Came.

Taking centre stage on a raised platform, Tom was surrounded by pals Jay McGuinness, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran and Max George.

After the show, Max posted a black and white photo of him and Tom relaxing backstage and gushed over his best mate.

"It's been an epic few weeks… One last show my boy…" Max captioned the heartwarming pic.

"You are a true hero mate. Can't wait for the next tour with you…Liverpool… Can you hear us???!"

Fans loved the candid photo, agreeing that Tom was a hero and with many excited at the prospect of another The Wanted tour.

"What a fighter our Tom is, a true inspiration, we love you Tom Parker❤️," commented one fan.

Another added: "Next TOUR?? NEXT TOUR!!!";

And a third wrote: "Me zooming in on the ‘next tour’ part of the caption 👀👀👀. But I also completely agree with everything you’ve said 🙌🏾🙌🏾 have had the best time coming to this tour - best of luck for the final show tonight; you will all smash it 🎉"

The boyband also took their tour to Manchester with behind-the-scenes footage shared throughout the evening by Max.

In one clip he filmed Tom, who recently returned from gruelling treatment in Spain, sipping a bottle of Peroni lager before the show.

Max, in mock outrage, was heard saying: "Drinking on the job. Not even gone on yet."

He missed the start of the group's Most Wanted greatest hits tour last week to undergo pioneering treatment on his brain cancer in Spain.

But days later he made it to the show, nodding and smiling as his bandmates performed beside him.

The dad-of-two has undergone numerous rounds of chemotherpay and radiotherapy since being diagnosed with an inoperable tumour in 2020.

He has previously said he is shocked at the lack of treatment and funding for cancer patients in the UK.

A chemotherapy drug called Temozolomide has for 20 years been the standard NHS treatment for glioblastoma patients.

But treatments he recently received at a private facility in Spain include time in an oxygen machine, massages and a special diet.
