X FACTOR is set to have its barmiest contestant on the show this weekend – a cockatoo-obsessed pensioner on a mobility scooter.
Corinne Denise Graehame, who has also appeared on How Clean Is Your House and Jerry Springer, leaves the judges stunned after she rides in on her “cockatooter” before belting out Bryan Adams’ Run To You.
However, The Sun can reveal that the 63-year-old hopeful, who goes by the name Cori Burns, has an ASBO following two incidents of racial abuse.
In 2010, Cori was sentenced for hurling racial abuse at a Boots store worker after she nearly reversed her mobility scooter into a child. Nottingham Magistrates found her guilty of using racially aggravated threats and breaching an anti-social behaviour order.
Giving evidence, Cori from Hastings said: “If anything I’m a victim of prejudice because I’m fat, I’m blonde, I’m deaf, I sit in a wheelchair and I write music.”
Cori had previously been found guilty of racial abuse on a passenger on a tram when her mobility scooter bumped into a woman’s double pushchair, which had a toddler and baby in it.
The well-known local singer was also taken to courts and received a train ban following a bust-up with staff at Nottingham train station in 2008.
After being told she couldn’t board the train as her mobility scooter was ten inches too big – Cori launched into a foul-mouthed tirade at staff and told one officer to “f*** off”.
Cori, who said she was heavily provoked, pleaded guilty to an offence of disorderly conduct.
The songwriter previously appeared on the X Factor and famously clashed with Sharon Osbourne, who criticised Cori for not wearing a bra during her audition.
Following this, Cori demanded an apology from Sharon – saying she felt humiliated by the judge’s comments.
Speaking ahead of her audition, Cori said: “My number one ambition is to have an album of my own songs. I’d like to show Simon that I really do have the X Factor”
She is later left in hysterics after Simon tells her: “Louis likes a cockatoo”.
