Atomic Kitten set to perform in Devon pub after cancelling their Greatest Hits Tour last year

Girls are due to perform in Australia next year

FORMER chart-topping girlband Atomic Kitten are playing a gig in a village pub.

The noughties favourites, who had three No1 singles during the decade, will perform at the Pig’s Nose in Devon in November ahead of their world tour in February next year.

Group members Kerry Katona, 36, Natasha Hamilton, 34, and Liz McClarnon, 35, asked the landlady of the Pig’s Nose in Devon whether they could host the concert there.

The trio, who had three No1 singles in the noughties, are set to perform at the remote venue on 12 November, having cancelled their Greatest Hits Tour last year.

Pub patron Lesley Webber said: “We sold out immediately, it’s great to bring music to a village instead of having to travel miles to listen to bands.”

This isn’t the first time Webber, who worked in the London music business, has scooped a high-profile gig for the East Prawle boozer.

Having arranged for visits by Blur’s Damon Albarn and The Clash and the Boomtown Rats’ Paul Simenon, she said the Atomic Kitten's date would be “all in a day’s work.”

The girl group, who formed in 1998, cancelled their World Tour last year but performed a gig in Melbourne, where Liz was replaced by Michelle Heaton due to her fear of flying.

And the former Liberty X singer, 37, is expected to take over Liz again when the group returns Down Under on tour next year.
