I can’t wait to fall in love again – I’d go on a date tomorrow with someone honest and loyal, says Denise Van Outen

DENISE Van Outen can’t wait to get back in the saddle and start dating again after ditching her cheating ex Eddie Boxshall.

The TV personality says she is finally in a good space after being left heartbroken when Eddie cheated on her multiple times.

Denise, 47, and Eddie, 48, had been together seven years before splitting earlier this year.

Denise told The Sun: “I feel like I’m in a really good place. I wasn’t - I was really hurt. And there’s still an element of hurt there but I’m dealing with it better now.

“I felt so content in the relationship. But rather than sitting around and feeling down and thinking to myself, ‘My life has turned to c**p, blah blah blah’.

"I just thought, ‘No, I need to be positive about this’, and I just thought, ‘I’m going to change my mindset to, ‘I will have the opportunity now to meet someone who is honest and loyal and respectful and that I can have a really good solid relationship with.’ And I get to fall in love again, how amazing is that?”

Admitting she would go on a date tomorrow if someone caught her eye, the Celebrity Gogglebox regular added: “I would because I’ll tell you why. I wasn’t unfaithful and I didn’t do anything wrong.

"I don’t want to feel like I shouldn’t be able to have a nice time, you know?

“It’s been a good few months now.

“Before it hit the press it was a good couple of months before that, that I was sitting and keeping this quiet to myself.

"It would be a slow burner, I would have to really get to know somebody because, genuinely, I’ve had the wind taken out of my sails in as much as you trust somebody with your home, your child, and your heart.

"And when this happens, there’s a bit of damage there. But it’s all repairable. I’ll just take my little old heart into The Repair Shop.”
