I was doing s**t loads of drugs and having fits when I first went bankrupt – I could’ve died, says Kerry Katona

KERRY Katona has revealed how doing drugs nearly cost her, her life.

Speaking candidly about years of abuse, she revealed that snorting coke when she first went bankrupt caused her to have fits.

She told The Jay Hutton Show: “One of the reasons I took cocaine was that I was very lost as a person.

“I was very lonely, despite having all these people around me, but then I went bankrupt.

“I was doing shit loads of drugs, I could have died! I was having fits on the floor.”

She added: “It was almost like I wanted to die, but I didn’t have the balls to kill myself.”

Kerry also revealed that her so-called “friends” abandoned her when she was declared bankrupt.

The former Atomic Kitten star has always been very honest about her past drug abuse.

She has admitted to taking narcotics from a young age, and having to battle her “demons”.

But the star – who no longer uses drugs – is happy and healthy now and perusing career on OnlyFans, after nearly facing bankruptcy for a THIRD time.

She joined the subscription site in May 2020 and she’s confessed to being so desperate for money at the time that she couldn’t even pay her rent.

Kerry said: “I’ve always been a grafter, I’ve always had my own money. I’ve never met anybody like me, to be honest!

“Someone who’s been on every side of the coin – go into bankruptcy, become a millionaire, go into bankruptcy and become a millionaire again. Who does that?”

She continued: “I think I’m quite extraordinary and I like to give myself a pat on the back.”

Tattoo Fixers star Jay asked: “You’re in a good position now, aren’t you?”

Grabbing her boobs, Kerry replied: “That’s down to OnlyFans and these babies! I’m so grateful for these, but I want to go a bit smaller.

“I was on the verge of going into my third bankruptcy at the first lockdown, it was so tough. I just thought ‘I’m gonna start an OnlyFans account’ and I’m so glad that I did.”
