And although the BBC Two cameras were not allowed to film the shoot or legendary photographer David Bailey, Joanna and Jennifer, as Patsy and Eddie, spoke to the film crew during the event.

When asked about the magazine’s legacy, Eddie said: “It’s fantastic. I remember when it started. Do I? No I don’t. But it seems to have always been there.”

Patsy added: “Yeah, always in our zeitgeist.”

They were then asked if they remembered the heyday of Vogue, the Sixties and the Seventies, to which Patsy said: “Well, yeah. I was pretty much on every cover in those days. I think it was Vogue…”

Eddie added: “I’m probably too young to remember it but I remember the idea of it. But you know, the great thing about Vogue, especially American Vogue, is that even if it’s summer, it’s always winter.”

When corrected that she actually meant British Vogue, she said, “it isn’t the same, it doesn’t work”.

She said: “I’ve seen every episode, Mum’s always loved it. She loves both of them and I think always Patsy’s style, the chignon, always reminded me of my Mum and my Mum’s always smoked.

“But it’s funny because fashion is ridiculous and it’s making fun of something that is really funny.”
