Spice Girls in fresh talks to headline Glastonbury for final show – and Victoria Beckham’s on board
THE Spice Girls have held fresh talks as they plan a world tour for next year – ending with a swan song show at Glastonbury with Victoria Beckham.
Sources close to Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, who had a meeting this week in London, told how they feel their last performance should be on Glasto’s Pyramid Stage.
And they say Victoria Beckham has indicated she will join them if they get to headline at Worthy Farm.
A close source said: “There have been bumps in the road, particularly where Geri is concerned, but the plan is still that the girls’ world tour will go ahead next year.
“The idea is that it will kick off in 2023, and finish at Glastonbury.
“Victoria has previously said that she would perform with them at the festival. So that would be the perfect way to round off the tour.”

It is understood that the girls have now ruled out a performance at the Queen's glittering Platinum Jubilee concert in June this year.
The Sun revealed last month that all five members of the group had been asked to reunite for a special performance to celebrate Her Majesty’s milestone.
And when quizzed on the invite just hours after it was revealed, Mel C said in an interview: “You’re going to need to ask Geri about that one.”
But the source explained: “The Spice Girls will definitely not be performing at the Queen’s Jubilee, though that is not just down to Geri, as Mel hinted initially.

“They are all working on different projects, and when they sat down to look at the logistics they decided there was not enough time to make it work.
“They just would have not been able to squeeze in the rehearsal time they needed for the concert.
“However, that isn’t to say that everybody was happy with that outcome.
“Mel B and Emma, in particular, seemed very disappointed to be saying no.
“It would have been a real honour, and that was not lost on them.”
Acts already confirmed for the Jubilee celebration include George Ezra and Becky Hill, with more artists expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
But however starry the line-up, it just won’t be the same without that Union Jack dress on parade.
Leggy Kate's spot on
KATE Moss shows off her wild side as she hits the town in a leopard-print dress.
The supermodel flashed her toned pins at Burberry’s after-show dinner at The Twenty Two private members’ club in London on Friday night.
She was joined at the soiree with fashionista pals including Naomi Campbell, Bella Hadid and Irina Shayk.
Kate used to be a hardcore party animal back in the day, but has quit booze in recent years to opt for a quiet life.
It just goes to show a leopard can change its spots.
On the Atack
EMILY ATACK is dressed to kill in miniskirt and thigh-scraper boots.
The TV host and comic, clearly up for a good night, wrote under the Instagram photo: “C’mon then Friday, yer fit b*d”.
Doubtless she had on an equally eye-catching top underneath the comfy sweatshirt.
Film's Jess so moving
BAFTA nominee Jessie Buckley has told how her part in movie drama The Lost Daughter changed her idea of what a good mum is.
She is up for Best Supporting Actress for the film about a woman on holiday facing demons from her past.
Olivia Colman leads as Leda, while Jessie, who also has an Oscar nod, portrays a younger Leda as a struggling mum.
Jessie reveals: “I’m the eldest of five, my mum has four girls and one boy – and when she watched the film I felt she took a huge sigh of relief. She felt so part of this common experience that had never really been spoken about.
“It made me proud to be her daughter, and speaking this truth.
“It’s the secret of the real f***ed-up-ness, chaos, brilliance and struggle of what it is to be a woman and a lover and daughter.”
Speaking to US media site Refinery29, she said: “Maybe what we consider a good mother isn’t necessarily the mother that stays, or the mother that’s there to pick you up every day on time.”
BAFTA stars get dressing down
BIGWIGS in the acting world have warned stars ahead of tonight’s Bafta ceremony to dress “respectably” on the red carpet in light of current world events.
The black tie A-list bash is one of the most prestigious nights in the showbiz calendar, but agents are advising guests to get the tone right at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The awards ceremony will see Lady Gaga, Benedict Cumberbatch, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emma Watson, Naomi Campbell and Daisy Edgar-Jones gracing the red carpet.
An insider said: “Several senior showbiz agents have advised stars to dress respectably, amid fears attention-grabbing dresses and suits would appear distasteful in light of the Ukraine conflict.
“The last thing they want is something like Lady Gaga’s infamous meat dress or anything too controversial.”
In previous years winners have been advised to keep their speeches short.
We’re going to bet there will be no end of tearful tributes as the glitterati pick up their gongs.

Idris Elba was expected to attend tonight’s event but we hear the actor decided to have a night in instead.
It’s such a shame, he looks great scrubbed up in a tux.
