Bake Off star Candice Brown has been Spicing things up on holiday – and looks exactly like Victoria Beckham
YOU’D be forgiven for thinking this is Victoria Beckham in yet another sexy black and white selfie.
But take a closer look… because that’s not really Posh Spice but Candice Brown from the Great British Bake Off.
The self-confessed Spice Girls fan posted the snap on her Twitter page back in June as she enjoyed a holiday in Greece.
And the resemblance to her idol is uncanny, from the hair to the nose and the pout – something that has started to become Candice’s trademark.
The GBBO’s lipstick queen has shared a number of pouty selfies online, no doubt alluding to the fact that she is a fan of Mrs B.
She had certainly boasted of her love for the Spice Girls on a couple of tweets – one with a a photo of her mum using the hashtag #mama, in a nod to the girl group’s number one single.
Back in 2012, she shared a photo of the ladies performing at the London 2012 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony and wrote: “Spice girls spice girls spice girls!!!!!!! #GirlPower amazing!!!!!!!!!”
And she also revealed her love for them in reply to a GBBO fan who appeared to have made some snide remark about her pouting – which he hastily deleted and apologised for even though she said: “I love the spice girls- I'll have that #girlpower.”
And her pout – which is clad in a different colour lipstick every week – has divided fans of the show.
Because while most have praised the PE teacher from Bedford and her baking skills, others have been less than complimentary, particularly about her pouty expression.
During last night’s show, many took to Twitter to share their irritation as one wrote: “I love The Great British Bake-off but if I have to watch Candice pout so much every week I might have to turn it off!!”
Another added, “Just caught up with the bake off and I'm not sure I can deal with Candice's pout for another week,” while another added: “Candice from bake off has such a sour/pouty face I can't deal with her anymore okay.”
But not one to take the insults to heart, Candice twice got her own back on her trolls as she took to her Twitter page to shrug them off.
In response to one user, who had tweeted, I'd love to see Mary slap that smug look off Candice's face,” Candice replied: “If you watch next week she actually does!”
And her parting shot as she bid her followers goodnight yesterday? A photo of Daffy Duck which she captioned: “Night all! Loveliness appreciated as always! Time to rest the duck face #daffy #loveliness #itsjustmyface.”
