‘I TOOK BACK CONTROL’: Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams pokes fun at skincare adverts in hilarious new mobile advert
The teenage actress has found a way to banish black spots… for her phone
MAISIE Williams has poked fun at beauty commercials in a hilarious new advert for a mobile phone provider.
The Game of Thrones star teamed up with the Three network for a very clever and funny parody about banishing black spots.
But she wasn’t talking about the facial blemishes that blight the lives of teenagers like herself, but a lack of mobile phone coverage – which is pretty much the same thing.
The 19 year-old actress is seen looking very glamorous as she beams for the camera before putting on her best sulky pout face.
In a nod to her character’s Arya’s surname, she says: “Guys, let’s face the Stark reality, being a teenager’s hard enough. The last thing you need it the trauma of black spots.”
The video then flashes up photos of teenagers with spots as an American voiceover says, “are you struggling with indoor black spots? Global ambassador Maisie has been there too.”
Maisie then moans that black spots are something she’s not been able to conquer and added: “While my friends were out partying. I’d just be stick inside feeling totally disconnected
“There were times when I felt like the loneliest person alive.”
But then she adds: “But I found a way to take back control –thanks to 4G super voice from 3Mobile, my black spots are history.”

She is then seen blasting computer images of black spots with her swanky new mobile phone before the voiceover boasts about “leading phone-atologists” who have developed “wall going through technology”.
Maisie is then seen looking every inch the Hollywood star as she leaps out of bed and says: “I wake up in the morning and can’t wait to check how many Hollywood job offers I’ve had!”
The video was posted on Three’s official YouTube page today and Maisie took to her Twitter page to share the mock advert and wrote: “Jokes day with @threeuk poking fun at bad beauty advertising for their new campaign.”
Maisie will return as Ayra Stark in the seventh series of the award-winning HBO show next summer and took to her Twitter page to hint at what lies ahead for fans.
She wrote: “Just finished reading season 7. S**t gets REAL. I’d start preparing yourselves now.
“Scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this. Holy balls.”
