Inside Giovanna and Tom Fletcher’s fun weekend away to Disneyland with the kids
I’M A Celeb’s Giovanna and Tom Fletcher were all smiles as the spent the weekend in Paris with their kids to celebrate Disney’s 30th anniversary.
The Podcaster and the McFly star took their three sons three boys; Buzz, seven, Buddy, six, and Max, three, to be the first to experience this new era of Disneyland Paris – with new decors, costumes and shows all launching at the world-class resort from today.
The family looked like they were having the time of their life as they got involved in the games and rides.
Tom shared a snap alongside his kids before the start of ride Star Tours, he joked: “When the whole family is tall enough to ride Star Tours! FINALLY! 🤘🤘🤘🤘 In @disneylandparis for their 30th celebrations. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.”
The couple explored the entertainment resort and came across some of Disney’s best loved characters.
Giovanna beamed as she posed next to Daisy Duck and Goofy the dog, wearing his trademark turtle neck and vest, with pants.
Popstar Tom was also game for a laugh as he was seen laughing and making jokes with his wife as they posed for photos.
The mum-of-three said: “The 30th Anniversary weekend at Disneyland Paris has been amazing.
“There’s been so much to do and so many new things to see. There is so much magic, and it feels like such a fitting celebration.”
Former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews and Steph’s Packed Lunch star Vogue Williams also attended the event with their two children Theodore, three and Gigi, one.
The couple, who had one of their very first dates at Disneyland Paris five years ago to the day, said they were chuffed to return with their kids.
Reality star Matthew said: “It’s just so nice to come here now as a family. We watch lots of Disney films together, so I think for our kids it’s just a fun realisation that the characters are real.”
Model Vogue added: “I think because we work a lot when we’re at home, to come away to Disneyland Paris and just spend two or three days just together as a family doing everything the whole time is amazing.
“And it’s really important and it’s so nice to see how happy it makes the kids, and it’s kind of all about them now.”
They were not the only celebrity couple to mark the special occasion, JLS star Aston Merrygold and his fiancé Sarah Louise Richards brought their two children Grayson, four and Macaulay, one, for a weekend of magical fun.
The Everybody In Love singer said: “For me Disneyland Paris – and especially the 30th Anniversary – is all about the family appeal.
“Every single person, regardless of if you are 1 or 91, there is something for everyone. As soon as you walk through the front gates, it’s literally like the magic starts to happen.”
The celebrities and their family were treated to new attractions at which includes the resorts first-ever aerial drone show, featuring 200 synchronised drones forming a sparkling figure 30ft in sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle.
For 30 years, Disneyland Paris has continued to develop more immersive experiences to bring stories and Characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars franchises to life.
Since the historical opening of Disneyland Paris on 12 April 1992, the resort has hosted more than 375 million visits and is Europe’s
top tourist destination.
