The reality TV star, 28, underwent cosmetic surgery to correct his nose eight days ago but this is the first time he has been seen since going under the knife.

And although the star has yet to confirm the news, his surgeon, Dr Riccardo Frati, posted a photo in his Twitter page of him and Mario and wrote: "@Mario_Falcone ready, excited for a new nose coming up!"

In the photo, Mario, clad in a surgical gown, looked happy and ready for the procedure, which he hinted at on his Twitter page three months ago.

Taking to his page on the social media network, he wrote: “I think I am going to get a nose job... Years of some of you bullying me etc have made me book a consultation.”

Mario, who quit TOWIE last summer, was referring to years of being picked on because of his nose, with bullies making fun of its size and bump.

His former TOWIE stars would also mock him, particularly James 'Diags' Bennewith who called him “big nose” after they got into a row over Marios’ then-girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburg during an episode of the show in 2012.

But his loyal fans have always stood by him and slammed the bullies, with one even setting up a Twitter page called Mario Falcone’s Nose off the back of his row with Diags, with fans slating Mario’s rival over the insult.

And many were up in arms when Mario announced his was considering a nose job and responded to his post begging him not to do it.

One wrote, “I have never noticed your nose. Nothing wrong with it. Don't give in to the bullies. Embrace ur beak,” while another added: “your nose is fine!! Screw people who are insecure so they pick on others for their insecurities!

She admitted: “Since I’ve been in the public eye, people have made such horrific comments about my looks. I don’t know why they do it.

“Some of the nasty things they’ve said has brought me to tears. It’s really horrible and I think people need to be aware that it’s not okay.

“I am thick skinned but trolling isn’t something you ever get used to.”
