Peter Andre prays for innocent people amid Russia’s war on Ukraine as he marks his 49th birthday
PETER Andre has sent his thoughts and prayers to the innocent people caught up in Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
The singer acknowledged the escalating situation in a sombre post this morning as he marks his 49th birthday today.
He vowed to try and lift spirts as he celebrated his special day amid all the suffering.
Pete told his followers: “In our house today, what is planned to be a special day can’t start without acknowledging what is happening in the real world.
“It’s sad to wake up and continually see this and know that so many people are suffering. God only knows when and how this going to end.
“I’ll try to post only positive things here for the rest of the day. We pray as everyone does for all the innocent people.”
Pete will be spending the day with Emily and his children Junior, 16, Princess, 14, who he shares with Katie Price, and Amelia, eight, and Theo, four.
Junior wasted no time in wishing his dad happy birthday by sharing a throwback from Peter’s Mysterious Girl heyday, showing him complete with six pack and curtains.
He wrote: “Happy Birthday to the best dad ever”, to which Peter replied: “Love you son.”

The official Ukraine death toll stands at 198, including three children.
And at least 17 of those were civilians, killed in a blast after four days of fighting.
It comes as freedom fighters from around the world were invited to join Ukraine’s army today as Ukranian troops and civilians scramble to beat off the Russian invaders.
