The 31-year-old passed away suddenly on Sunday from a suspected heart attack.

Telling host Steven he was from the Caribbean, Jamal said: “This is going off topic, but I’d like to find my real dad one day and know what that side is.

“Yeah well I don’t know. I’ve done that ancestory thing. I don’t know how real that is?

“That’s a whole kettle of fish. That’s a whole other conversation.”

It is unclear whether Jamal ever found his biological father before Sunday’s tragedy.

The podcast offered a fascinating insight into Jamal’s rise from a media student working in Topshop to a multi-millionaire who gained fame from setting up music platform SBTV in 2006.

Despite his young age, Jamal admitted going to bed every night worrying he wouldn’t live to see another day.

After being plagued by tragedies throughout his life, the music mogul – who launched the careers of Ed Sheeran and Jessie J – feared he wouldn’t live long enough to see his work finished.

“Sometimes I go to sleep and I think crazy stuff like ‘what if I’m not alive to see that’.

“I’ve had a lot of death in my life. I’ve known people who have died in their sleep, where their heart just stops.”

Jamal’s heartbroken mum, Loose Women star Brenda, broke her silence on the devastating news in a statement – expressing her “deepest heartache” as she revealed her son died from a “sudden illness”.
