Recalling his horror, Rami told Gemma: "I walked into the kitchen and you were standing there, and you’ve got this tea towel around you, and there is blood everywhere.
"And I said ‘Gemma what’s going on?’ I can see something is wrong that you’ve done something to yourself, you know, you've cut yourself.
"So I washed your hands and you started crying, and I was so shocked you know."
The Towie star replied: "Really, I can’t believe that I did it. It’s shocking to think I did it and I didn’t tell anyone at the time because I didn’t really know what it was myself."
He said: "You were telling me for weeks, 'don't worry about this' you were phoning me when I was working, like 20 times, and asking 'are you OK?' and I was like, 'no I'm not OK.'"
