David Bowie’s ashes ‘scattered at US Burning Man festival’

The music legend's godchild given permission by widow Iman to sprinkle his remains eight months after losing cancer battle

DAVID Bowie’s ashes were scattered at US festival Burning Man last weekend, it is claimed.

The music icon’s remains were sprinkled at the Nevada desert bash eight months after he lost a cancer battle.

David’s godchild was given permission by his widow Iman, who shared a special connection with the spiritual event.

Bowie, who died aged 69, was honoured with a ceremony at the Temple, where visitors pay tribute to loved ones.

A source said: “We played his music the entire drive from camp to the Temple and back.”

Meanwhile, Iman, 61 – who also lost her mother Marian Abdulmajid in April – made her first public appearance since Bowie’s death at Tom Ford’s Fall 2016 show at New York Fashion Week.

She told Good Morning America: “It’s just been a tough year, but I’m holding up.

She revealed she has a special necklace and said: “I’m wearing this until my death. Hedi Slimane made it for me. It just says ‘David’.”

A spokesperson for David Bowie denied the claims.
