Ashley Banjo and Kimberly Wyatt could be reunited on new TV show two years after Got to Dance was axed
Stars looks set to be working on a new dance project together
ASHLEY BANJO and KIMBERLY WYATT were left devastated when Sky1 axed their dance show Got to Dance after five years on air.
Thankfully the dance duo could soon be reunited as ITV bosses are in talks to snap up the pair as judges on their new Strictly rival, Dance Dance Dance.
After I told last week that producers have lined-up DIVERSITY star Ashley as head judge of the new dance series, former PUSSYCAT DOLL Kimberly has revealed she has also been asked to join the panel.
Speaking at the National Lottery Awards, which airs tonight at 10.45pm on BBC1 (PLEASE KEEP), Kimberley said: “I think I could be joining Ashley – watch this space.
“I love Ashley and I love judging with him and I consider him a really good friend so it would be good to be with him again on TV eventually.
“I started with Ashley on Got to Dance – he’s a great guy, we spent five years together judging and mentoring kids and he’s got a lot to offer on Dance Dance Dance.
"He cares a lot and he’s got a really big heart.
"He also loves to crack a joke so I’m sure he will be very entertaining as well as very helpful to those dancers."
Dance Dance Dance has been dubbed a Strictly rip-off after The Sun revealed last month that ITV have purchased the big-budget show to declare war on BBC’s flagship show.
Kimberly reckons the programme will provide viewers with something different by including a variety of genres.
The Celebrity MasterChef champ added: “Dance is universal, everybody speaks dance so it will great to see just how much the competitors on Dance
Dance Dance kind of feel their music, how they’re able to work together and ultimately their able to perform and put on an amazing show.
"I’m sure it will be fascinating in other genres of dance and just in other ways of expressing yourself.
"I’m sure it will be somewhat comparable to Strictly but just in a completely different way.”
Now ITV just need to sign-up some great celebrity contestants.
