Talking at the charity fundraiser last night : "Cancer has in a strange way done some amazing things for me. It's allowed me to be more me, like much more in touch with who I am, and much more vulnerable and the person that I always was, but I think it got hidden behind a lot of other stuff.

She added: "I feel blessed to be a part of the cancer family tonight and to of witnessed such love."

The picture post immediately followed a shot showing her in hospital and smiling with oncologist Dr Piro.

She told her fans they had "a great relationship, one of mutual respect" before they took to the glitzy event together.

Earlier this week she showed the darker side of her treatment when she posted a black and white snap of her "chemo day", detailing the painful after-effects of the treatment during her brave battle with cancer.

The TV star revealed she had woken up with swollen eyes and couldn't stop tears from streaming down her face ahead of her day in the medical ward.

The black and white snap showed her wearing a patterned bandanna over her head and half of her face staring straight into the lens.

Despite the grim day of treatment ahead, she showed her Instagram followers she was keeping her spirits up with a half-smile.

Meanwhile her mum Rosa could be seen perched on a chair and looking into the camera.

Aside from her medical dramas, she also recently settled a long-fought battle with her old management company who she claimed didn’t do their duty to maintain her health insurance through the Screen Actor’s Guild, causing her to wait for the much needed treatment following her diagnosis.
