Rita Ora lands huge new Disney+ role on Beauty And The Beast – her biggest TV job yet
RITA Ora has landed her biggest acting role to date after impressing bigwigs at Disney.
I can reveal the singer has been cast in the live action Beauty And The Beast TV series – a big-budget eight-part prequel to the 2017 remake.
It will see her rub shoulders with returning stars Luke Evans, who plays Gaston, and Frozen’s Josh Gad as his sidekick LeFou.
Rita previously had acting roles in Fifty Shades Of Grey in 2015 and Twist – a modern-day Charles Dickens remake which came out last year.
A source said: “This is a huge move for Rita.
“She is over the moon after being cast in Beauty And The Beast.
“Rita will play a brand new character in the series.
“Although she has appeared in a few films, this is her first major TV series and it’s already lining up to be a sure-fire hit because it will go out globally on Disney Plus.

“The fact Luke is returning as Gaston and Josh is back as LeFou proves the show has star quality.
“Rita cannot wait to get started when filming begins in the coming months.”
The series, which is expected to be available to stream next year, follows the story of Gaston years before the Beast arrives in the kingdom.
The project will feature an original soundtrack – which I am sure Rita would be more than willing to help with.
I revealed last week how the Anywhere singer had parted ways with her label Atlantic Records for a new start with BMG.
A fresh start with her music and this new Disney deal is making the future seem even brighter for Rita.
