Alicia Silverstone is unrecognisable 27 years after Clueless as she walks her dogs in LA

CLUELESS star Alicia Silverstone looks unrecognisable 27 years after playing iconic character Cher Horowitz in the cult classic.

The 45-year-old actress became a style icon thanks to the hit 1995 movie in which she donned a series of incredible 90s outfits as the sassy teen character.

Fast forward nearly three decades later and Alicia is still rocking that effortlessly chic look as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hollywood star was spotted taking her dog for a walk with a male friend in the Sherman Oaks neighbourhood.

Alicia sported a light brown crewneck sweater on top of a green t-shirt and a pair of black tracksuits bottoms.

The actress appeared to be making the most of the glorious weather as she strolled along the sidewalk and chatted to her pal.

The Batman & Robin actress tied a black jacket around her waist as she enjoyed a hiking session with the handsome mystery man, who was dressed in black from head to toe.

Flashing a big smile, the Golden Globe Award-nominated star opted for a pair of comfortable athletic shoes.

She kept her blonde tresses loose and looked fresh-faced as she appeared to have no makeup on.

The actress is currently working on the upcoming crime thriller feature, Reptile, which is based on a New England detective who is assigned to the case of a murdered real estate agent.

Alicia recently made headlines when she revealed last year that she takes baths with her son Bear, 10.

She has raised eyebrows with certain parenting methods in the past, and her latest admission is no exception. 

Alicia spoke to  about her isolation routine, and said she bathes in the same tub as son Bear. 

She said: "My son and I take baths together.

"And when he's not with me, I take a bath and that really feels nourishing and comforting."

This follows the Hollywood star revealing in 2012 she “bird-feeds” Bear, and chews food in her own mouth before giving it to him to eat.

Alicia has also spoken out against immunisations in her 2014 book, and said we need to study the negative effects of vaccines and kids of her friends had been affected by them.

She also has Bear on a strict vegan diet, but a rep for Alicia told NYT that it's his preferred choice. 

Alicia shares Bear with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki, who she split from in 2018 after nearly 13 years of marriage. 

The pair have been co-parenting their son during self-isolation. 

Despite any criticism, Alicia said she doesn’t mind standing up for what she believes in. 

She said: “People said lots of different things, and I was sort of ‘the freak,’ and I guess I'll take pride in that because it is hard to be the person that's speaking out, and it is hard to be the person that is saying the thing that isn’t what everybody else wants to hear.”

Since finding success in the 90s, Alicia has most recently become known for her lifestyle blog and life updates, mainly keeping her family life away from the limelight.

A year after giving birth to Bear, Alicia launched the Kind Mama Milk Share initiative so vegan mums could share breast milk with mothers struggling to nurse their child.

The Clueless star revealed on her blog that she got the idea after a vegan friend had a hard time producing milk after breast reduction surgery.
