Lads’ mag fave Nell McAndrew looks very different from her heyday as she ditches glamour for running
GLAMOUR model Nell McAndrew has cut a low profile since her lads' mag heyday in the late 1990s, swapping photo shoots for marathon running.
The striking beauty has turned her attention to fitness over the last decade and is an accomplished amateur athlete who has ran the London Marathon a whopping seven times.
Recently, the 48-year-old participated in her 101st Park Run and celebrated the moment with a beaming selfie with her friends.
Not only is she now a fitness fanatic but Nell has become an author, sharing her tips and tricks for running in a book titled Guide to Running: Everything You Need to Know to Train, Race and More.
Nell also has a passion for philanthropy and has raised thousands of pounds for worthwhile causes such as the Alzheimer's Society and Cancer Research UK participating in different races.
The model first found fame in 1996 when she appeared as one of the hostesses on popular dating show Man O Man hosted by Chris Tarrant.
The blonde bombshell, who started her modelling career as a Marilyn Monroe lookalike, was later snapped up by the papers and began gracing Page 3.
Famously Nell's body was used as the basis for Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider video game series between 1998 and 1999.
However, she was dropped from the game after posing as the character on the front page of Playboy.
Despite the fallout with video game franchise, Nell's glamour modelling career went from strength-to-strength, appearing in titles such as FHM, Loaded and Maxim.
Nell, who won Rear of the Year in 2005, then went on to have a successful presenting career hosting shows Racing Rivals, Born to Fight, It's a Knockout and The Big Breakfast.
She also appeared on the first series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, coming fourth.
Aside from her career, Nell is happily married to property developer Paul Hardcastle.
The pair tied the knot in November 2004 in Huddersfield, West Yorks, and had a second ceremony in December 2004 in Dubai.
They have two children together, son Devon, 15, and eight-year-old daughter, Anya.
