Get the first look at upcoming Oasis documentary with new official trailer
AMY producer Asif Kapadia returns with nostalgic documentary about Noel and Liam Gallagher's rise to the top
PREPARE to feel very nostalgic.
Whether you're fans of Oasis or not, Asif Kapadia's upcoming documentary is set to be a sensation - and we've got the trailer to prove it.
The film takes a fascinating look back at the band's incredible journey to the top and back down again, through never seen before interviews with Noel and Liam Gallagher and their mother.
The brothers started the Brit-pop band in the nineties from the Manchester estate they grew up in, and before long, they had become the "biggest band since The Beatles."
"We were just lads from a council estate," Noel says in the trailer. "Nobody had heard of us, but we had spirit. We never gave up. One night everything changed.
"No one had ever come along that was remotely like us. Then, it just blew up."
But the lads are known for their tempestuous relationship and the rows that repeatedly took place eventually cost them their success.
"Oasis' greatest strength was me and Liam," he continues. "It's also what drove the band into the ground in the end."
The documentary has been directed by Matt Whitecross (Spike Island), while Noel and Liam serve as executive producers.
Asif Kapadia - who hit headlines with his controversial 2013 documentary Amy - produced the film.
Supersonic will hit cinemas on 2 October.
