Robbie Williams says he will tour this year after his Las Vegas residency was cancelled
ROBBIE Williams is preparing for a huge live comeback.
I can reveal the superstar has plans for a new tour at the end of this year.
It comes after Robbie was devastated after he was forced to cut short his extended residency in Las Vegas Encore Theater in 2020 because of the pandemic.
Robbie made the revelation in a new interview in America as he was quizzed over how the pandemic had affected his music — though he was still wary of Covid.
He said: “Hopefully I’m going to go on tour at the end of this year.
“But you see how this year has gone.
“I think every summer we’re going to think it’s over and then every winter it’s going to come back.
“Every time I’ve had a guess that this is going to be over I’ve been completely wrong.

“When this started it was, like, the end of January or February two years ago and I was like, ‘This is going to be over in June’.
"Now we are two Christmases into it and it’s still going strong. It’s terrifying.
“It’s terrifying for many, many reasons but personally and selfishly I haven’t been able to gig, I haven’t been able to do a tour.”
Now Robbie plans to change all that.
He wrapped The Heavy Entertainment Show tour in 2018 after playing to more than 1.1million fans during the UK gigs and as many more across Europe, Australia and South America.
And insiders said if he could get the gigs off the ground he would.
A source added: “Robbie’s dream of getting back out on the road is something he wants to make a reality.
“This year could be tough, but knowing Robbie, anything is possible.”
I have to admit Robbie is one of my favourite hell raisers, with enough No1’s and notches on his bed posts to keep him in the music history books for ever.
To get him back on the road playing to big crowds is where he is at where he is best, as well as where he belongs.
Cancel the pop pretenders and bring on Robbie. We could all do with it.
Oz shoot shows Rita has Top Guns
IF RITA Ora wants a part in the inevitable next Baywatch remake she is going the right away about it.
She looked in her element as she draped herself over a group of buff, Speedo-clad guys on a Sydney beach in Australia.
The Hot Right Now singer was in this sparkly gold dress to pose with muscular lifeguards and even flexed her own guns.
During the shoot Rita wore a string of different outfits, including a multi-coloured get-up and a tight mini-dress.
I told last month how Rita and her Hollywood boyfriend Taika Waititi spent the festive period in Oz.
The pair have grown so close during their year-long romance that pals are predicting it won’t be long before the movie director proposes.
I wonder if Taika will pop the question in his budgie smugglers?
Like father like son
MADONNA and Guy Ritchie’s artist son Rocco clearly takes after his dad rather than his mum when it comes to fashion, as he was covered up from head to toe while out in London.
He wore this dapper checked coat over a matching suit for dinner at Loulou’s in Mayfair at the weekend, where he was joined by a female companion.
Unlike his famous mum, who regularly strips off on Instagram, Rocco has largely stayed out of the spotlight and away from social media.
But last month it was revealed he has been secretly working as an artist for at least three years under the pseudonym Rhed.
Rhed’s work sells for as much as £24,000, so no doubt he can afford nice threads.
Katy's keen on Zedd list
SHE has only just dropped her new single When I’m Gone with Alesso but Katy Perry is already lining up her next collaboration.
I can reveal the superstar has recorded another dance track, this time with DJ and producer Zedd, who she worked with three years ago on the song 365.
A music source told me: “Katy has been working hard and is determined to make 2022 her year.
“Her current Las Vegas residency has nearly sold out and there is a lot of new music in the works.
“A number of collabs have been set up, including a track with Zedd. Katy has got loads more surprises in store for the next 12 months.
“She has been finding her feet again in terms of music after becoming a mum in 2020, but the success of her residency so far as got her really excited for what’s to come.”
While her run at Resorts World in Sin City is only until March, Katy has hinted she is far more likely to extend her time on the strip than embark on a world tour.
Katy said of her current deal: “I really wanted to be able to strike more of a balance – to have a child and take her to preschool – but also play with that energy.”
Bella take the plunge
BELLA Hadid had ultimate faith in this plunging dress as she headed to a party.
The supermodel was out with pals and her brother Anwar in West Hollywood for a friend’s birthday at the weekend.
But I doubt she could have busted many dance moves in her backless, chocolate-coloured outfit without having a wardrobe malfunction.
Although given she was wearing pristine white boots, she probably would have wanted to stay well away from any sticky dance floors anyway.
At number one-bats
THE WOMBATS are on track to score their first No1 this Friday with their fifth studio album, Fix Yourself, Not The World.
They are ahead of new entries Fragments, from Bonobo, and The Boy Named If, by Elvis Costello, which are at No2 and No3 respectively.
Even if the Liverpool rockers don’t bag the top slot, they look sure to secure their fourth Top Five album.
The cast of Disney’s new animated movie Encanto look set to top the singles chart with the song We Don’t Talk About Bruno, which is featured on the soundtrack.
Rylan was West-lite
RYLAN Clark wasn’t exactly known for his vocal talents on The X Factor – and that doesn’t reflect too well on Westlife.
He revealed he was in a tribute group to them before hitting the big time.
A listener to his Radio 2 show on Saturday asked if it was Rylan who had been in the group and sat on the caller’s lap during a visit to Ibiza.
The host admitted: “That was me that assaulted you in 2009.
“If you saw the Westlife show, I’d have sat on your knee during Mandy or You Raise Me Up, because I did a little Irish jig halfway through when I went out into the audience.”
Rylan, who split from husband Dan Neal last year, also admitted he puts “triggering” items from their marriage into a spare room at home.
He said: “You know when you open a drawer and see something and you’re like, ‘I don’t need to see that.’ I’ve found an area where I’m putting things which are a trigger.”
On-off is OK, says Emma
EMMA Bunton reckons twice breaking up with her now husband early in their relationship made it even stronger.
The Spice Girls singer and Jade Jones, ex-frontman in R&B boy group Damage, now turned chef, split in 1999 after one year, were back on in 2000, off in 2002, on in 2004 – and finally married last July.
Mum-of-two Emma said: “It gave us time to grow as people and when we came back together it was amazing.”
She said of their early fireworks: “It was immediate. As soon as I looked at him, I thought, ‘This is so special’. He felt the same.
"We had magical moments very early on. Both of us knew we wanted to be together. We’re soulmates.”

But she added: “It hit us that we were so young and both of us haven’t done everything. We did have a break.”
Asked by Holly Willoughby on her podcast By The Light Of The Moon if that helped their romance, she said: “Definitely. It gave us time to grow and when we came back together it was amazing.”
