THIS Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield down shots live on the show today after confessing they enjoyed a 'tiny tequila' at the TV Choice Awards last night.

The pair necked booze on This Morning today just hours after their big night out at the prizegiving in London.

Holly and Phil appeared fresh-faced on This Morning today just hours after the big night, and they admitted they resisted getting drunk.

Phil revealed they were "very well behaved" and Holly urged viewers to admire them for looking so "shiny and new" today.

However, they did admit they toasted their late pal Denise with tequila shots.

Later in the show Ferne McCann and Vicky Pattison presented a segment from Italy about lemon-based booze Lemoncello, and Holly and Phil got into the spirit by downing shots of the liquor back in the studio.

Ferne and Vicky visited a farm where the drink is made, and were seen downing three shots of the potent spirit.

After the video clip, Phil revealed the two women got a taxi back to their hotel after filming - hinting they were too drunk to drive home.

Holly and Phil then downed shots of the drink themselves and they also bit into Italian lemons to see if they are any sweeter than normal lemons.

However, they both grimaced as they tasted the sour citrus fruit.

The TV hosts braved hangovers by attending the awards show in London last night just hours before they had to get up to present This Morning.

They took to the stage to pick up the Best Daytime Show prize, and Phil gave a moving tribute to Denise following her death this year.

Holly looked stunning in a white dress which she teamed with perfect hair and make-up for the special occasion.
