Becky Hill wants to put on a FESTIVAL when she marries long-term partner Charlie Gardner
BECKY HILL has performed at festivals all over the world, so she will be putting everything she has learned into throwing her own when she marries.
The Remember singer got engaged to long-term partner Charlie Gardner in the Maldives last week and says she wants to plan a full music event for their wedding.
In an exclusive interview, Becky, up for Song of the Year and Best Dance Act at next month’s Brits, told me: “We are having a festival of course! We are going to have a sick festival with an acoustic tent, a dance tent, a pop tent.”
She has collaborated with the likes of David Guetta, Little Mix and Sigala during her ten years in music. And asked if she would be getting them in to play,
Becky added: “I’d like to think so. As long as they don’t all need paying, yes. I’ll be like, ‘I’ll give you cake’. Just let me get album two out of the way.”
I can understand why she might need some time before walking down the aisle, after revealing the surprise proposal took her breath away.
Quizzed on whether she cried when he popped the question, she said: “Yes, I was like, ‘Shut the f*** up!’ It was mad. He drew a heart in the sand on a desert island.”
Becky, who came to prominence on The Voice UK, is now turning her focus to the Brits on February 8 at London’s O2 Arena, which will be live on ITV.

And while getting nominated was a dream come true, she has admitted she felt stressed out when she discovered the Dance Act winner will be decided via a public vote on TikTok.
Speaking on the red carpet of the new Cirque Du Soleil show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the former The Voice contestant said: “I’ve never known anybody that can have such a huge nomination like that and be filled with anxiety and worry and stress like, ‘People have to vote for me to win? It’s based on popularity?’ It’s terrifying.
“But I already feel like I’ve won. To have been on some TV show when I was 17 turning 18 and now to be 27 turning 28 and have two Brit nominations. Sick.”
Avril's kicking off again
AVRIL Lavigne still gets her kicks from performing.
The Girlfriend singer put her back – and boot – into it as she hit the stage at the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO event in California.
Avril said last week that her seventh studio album, Love Sux, would be out next month.
And while almost two decades have passed since she first burst into the music business, the Canadian looked as though she had barely aged a day.
Avril also revealed how her outfits still fit like a glove, as she opted for this trademark plaid skirt with a bright red crop top.
As well as playing a string of her hits at the gig including Complicated and My Happy Ending. Avril teased her new music and belted out the first single from her new record, Bite Me.
Welcome back.
Razor cut a new LP
RAZORLIGHT are working on a new album to break their 11-year their hiatus.
Johnny Borrell, Andy Burrows, Bjorn Agren and Carl Dalemo announced the news on their Twitter account.
Sharing photographs of the band, they wrote: “Greetings from 2022, here we are in Gloucestershire working hard on Razor album 5.”
Razorlight, who spawned hits including Golden Touch and America, got back together last year for what fans believed was a one-off live stream.
Andy said at the time: “It feels incredible.
“It’s been amazing. It’s so powerful playing these old tunes.”
Swift move, Kelly
KELLY Clarkson is planning to follow in the footsteps of Taylor Swift by re-recording her biggest hits.
Taylor did it for legal reasons, but Kelly says she simply prefers her voice now it has matured.
The original American Idol winner said of revisiting her back catalogue: “I would. It’s because I feel my voice is stronger than it was when I was 19.
“I feel like my range is bigger and it is a different voice.

“It would be interesting to record the songs that I love and even some of the hits that I actually can’t listen to because sometimes the producer keeps you there for so long because they want it exact.
“At this stage of my life it would be really fun to do.”
