Sarah Harding pulls out of tonight’s performance of Ghost The Musical after being diagnosed with ‘upper respiratory tract infection’
Girls Aloud singer was plagued by poor reviews when she made her stage debut this weekend - but has been ordered to rest by docs
SARAH Harding has been forced to pull out of tonight’s performance of Ghost The Musical after falling ill.
The former Girls Aloud star, 34, has been ordered to take a few days of bed rest, meaning she won’t make it on stage tonight at the New Wimbledon Theatre.
Her spokesperson told The Sun online: “Sarah went to see the doctor today who diagnosed an upper respiratory tract infection.
“She’s been really pushing herself over the past three weeks, rehearsing solidly for the show and making sure her performance is perfect.
“Fans of Sarah will know that she is a true grafter and that she always pushes herself to the absolute limit, but it’s all caught up with her.
“The doctor has told her to take a few days of bed rest to get back to full strength.
“She still has three months worth of nightly performances to get through, and she’s dead set on giving it her absolute all.”
Sarah made her stage debut over the weekend, but didn’t necessarily impress everyone in the 1,670-strong audience.
One Twitter user @ChordsNoNet wrote: “If you haven’t booked tickets for @ghostontour don’t bother. So many c**k ups with the scenery and Sarah Harding screeching like a banshee.”
Another, @_MellyM_, said: “Sarah Harding CANNOT act and CANNOT sing, this is painful. BK is sat in the audience and she should literally be fired now in the interval.”
However, others were quick to praise the star and were delighted to see the former girlbander back on stage.
