EASTENDERS star Richard Blackwood proved he has bounced back from bankruptcy by showing off his new £100,000 supercar on an outing to Nando's.

The actor/TV presenter went broke in 2002, but has since made a comeback with a role in the popular soap.

Richard, 44, was spotted taking his prized BMW sportscar out for a shopping trip before making a stop at a Nando's.

He was declared bankrupt 14 years ago after frittering away the fortune me made from his career in the spotlight.

The star has revealed the proceedings led to a career slump as work dried up, and he struggled to make a living.

Richard scared a major boost last year when he landed the role of Vincent Hubbard in EastEnders, and the role turned his fortunes around.

He recently opened up about his bankruptcy shame during an appearance on Loose Women.

The actor was evicted from his home at the age of 30, and was "blacklisted" by friends in the entertainment industry.

He said: "[Because] I went bankrupt, and bankruptcy then wasn't... Back then you were blacklisted and nobody wanted to touch you.

"I was one of the first people to go bankrupt in terms of 'in the scene', and my phone just stopped working. No one wanted to use me."

Richard added of his life-changing role in EastEnders: "It has changed my life. I love the cast.

"Everyone is just so welcoming. This is just about work, everyone is very humble."
