Georgia May Foote wishes Laura Whitmore and ex Giovanni good luck as they’re paired on Strictly
GEORGIA May Foote has wished her close friend Laura Whitmore and her ex Giovanni Pernice good luck as it was announced they had been paired up on Strictly.
The actress who split from the dancer just days ago tweeted her support, while declaring Laura a ‘beautiful person’.
Despite the show now being rather bitter sweet for her, she wrote: “Good luck to all the @bbcstrictly 2016 cast and crew on their launch show tonight! Sending all my love! Im sure its going to be incredible ❤”
And then, to be clear she has no hard feelings towards Laura she wrote: “And i would just like to wish @thewhitmore and @pernicegiovann1 good luck. Shes a beautiful person.”
She added: “@thewhitmore and has all my support! Good luck ????”
Fans of the show didn’t take the news quite as well though and took to Twitter to worry about how Georgia might be feeling.
One person questioned: “So Giovanni has been paired up with Laura Whitmore I wonder what Georgia May Foote has to say about it #Strictly.”
While another remarked: “So obvious Laura whitmore was going to get partnered with Giovanni when he’s newly single and she’s friends with Georgia #Strictly.”
And a further added: “Wonder if Georgia’s at home sticking pins into Laura Whitmore doll?”
Georgia, who originally found fame on Coronation Street, was paired up with professional dancer Giovanni in last year’s competition, placing runner up after a series of dances including a beautiful foxtrot as Disney characters Beauty and the Beast.
At the time she was dating her co-star Sean Ward, but they split up shortly after the end of her stint on the BBC dancing show – only for her to pair up with Giovanni in real life shortly after.
However, the couple called time on their relationship in a public statement released on their Twitter pages last week, citing their busy work schedules as the reason behind it.
Since then she has been seen enjoying a number of nights out – one of which was with Laura.
