AWARD-WINNING journalist George Alagiah has died at the age of 67, his agent announced.
He is survived by his wife Frances Robathan and two children.
Who is George Alagiah's wife Frances Robathan?
Frances Robathan is the wife of the former BBC News at Six presenter George Alagiah.
She was born in 1960 in London.
Frances was the Senior Partnerships Adviser of the Fairtrade Foundation, where she worked for 18 years since 2002.
She also held the position of Head of Programme Partnerships and Head of Institutional Fundraising at the Foundation.

Frances went to Durham University, where she met her husband.
When did George Alagiah and Frances Robathan get married?
George and Frances married in 1984, after meeting at Durham University, where they both studied.
The presenter previously reflected in an interview about his career and marriage of 37 years.
Speaking on the Desperately Seeking Wisdom podcast in 2022, he said: “When I look back and I looked at my journey… the family I had, the opportunities my family had, the great good fortune to bump into [Frances Robathan], who’s now been my wife and lover for all these years, the kids that we brought up… it didn’t feel like a failure.”

When talking about being recognised as a celebrity, George said his sons kept him down to earth.
"It's sobering to have your kids tell you, when you're dropping them off at school, 'Dad, don't get out of the car," he told The Sun.
How did George Alagiah die?
On July 24, 2023, it was announced that George had sadly passed away after a battle with bowel cancer.
His agent confirmed George passed away peacefully today surrounded by his family and loved ones.
She added: "George fought until the bitter end but sadly that battle ended earlier today.
"George was deeply loved by everybody who knew him, whether it was a friend, a colleague or a member of the public. He simply was a wonderful human being.
"My thoughts are with Fran, the boys and his wider family."
Tributes have started flooding in for the BBC News At Six presenter led by BBC chief Tim Davie.
He praised the star as "one of the best and bravest journalists of his generation who reported fearlessly from across the world as well as presenting the news flawlessly".

George was first diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in April 2014, which subsequently spread to his lungs, liver and lymph nodes.
Speaking on a podcast to ex-Downing Street director of communications Craig Oliver in 2022, he said: “Probably [cancer] will get me in the end. I’m hoping it’s a long time from now, but I’m very lucky.”
