Who is Neil Tennant?
Niel Tennant is a 64-year-old English musician, singer, songwriter and music journalist.
He was born in North Shields, a fishing port near Newcastle upon Tyne.
He completed a degree in history at London Metropolitan University and then worked for two years as the production editor for Marvel UK.
Neil then became a journalist for Smash Hits, and assistant editor for the magazine in the mid-1980s.
He came out as gay in 1994 in an interview with the magazine Attitude. He produced the album Release the Stars for Rufus Wainwright.
He is also a patron of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
He owns a house in London and another one in County Durham, along with co-owning an apartment in Berlin.
