PINTS AND PAELLA! As EastEnders’ Danny Dyer walks down the aisle tomorrow, all you need to know about his big day
The actor is set to marry his long-term love Joanne Mas in what’s set to be a Spanish-style knees-up
AFTER being together since they were kids and three kids, Danny Dyer is finally going to make an honest woman out of Joanne Mas tomorrow.
After a fortnight of getting headlines for all the wrong reasons after his V Festival fight with Mark Wright, Danny will be looking forward to celebrating a very happy occasion.
And it promises to be not just star-studded but a typical Cockney knee-up – with a Spanish theme in honour of her dad.
Danny and Joanne, both 39, have kept schtum about where their nuptials will be taking place but have revealed it will be somewhere in the English countryside.
Even though the actor didn’t even know the postcode of the place until recently after he admitted to Hello! magazine: “I have been a typical man about the wedding.
"I have left it to the missus. At this stage I am just a guest."
Joanne’s father is from Barcelona so she and Danny have decided on a Spanish themed reception.
They will be serving their guests everything from paella to tapas to sangria – with some good old East End pie and mash thrown in for good measure.
He wanted a “stylish version of pie and mash with liquor and chilli vinegar on a spoon”, and added: "I was going to have jellied eels but I'm not sure that everyone will like them.
“But we may have mini ham, egg and chips, which is what I was brought up on."
Guests will then be able to dance their dinners off to a Gypsy King-styles band – although crooner Julie Inglesias could make a surprise appearance as the couple were reportedly working on getting him to serenade them.
And for those who forget their party shoes or are just not the dancing type, they can just sit back and enjoy the flamenco dancers that will be entertaining the guests.
And what a guest list it should be. Danny’s on-screen family, the Carters, will be attending – Kellie Bright, Danny-Boy Hatchard, Maddy Hill, Linda Henry and Luisa Bradshaw White.
And according to Hello! actor Ray Winstone is also invited and there will no doubt be a few more famous faces there too.
And of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without their kids – Dani, 20, Sunnie, 9, and two-year-old Arty ios is set to be a pageboy.
