The Harry Potter star, who is mum to Donnie, seven, Margot, five, and Tennessee, one, hoped her character would be her kids' favourite part of the films.

Jessie told magazine: "During lockdown, we got through all of them.

"I asked them, 'What's your favourite bit about Harry Potter?' hoping they would say, 'You, mummy' - but they find me quite embarrassing in it!

"They can't get over the fact that I kiss Ron."

"I pretended that she didn't actually die, because in the books it's not clear anyway - so I was like, 'she's just having a sleep!'"

Jessie also thanked her appearance in Harry Potter for 'changing her life' and admitted that she doesn't know what her career would have been without it.

She also had nothing but praise for her former co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.

Jessie continued: "It changed the course of my life. You're only ever [as good as] your last job, so it was such an amazing stepping stone, and I don't know what my career would have been like without it.

"I can't imagine my life without Harry Potter."

Harry Potter fans will remember Jessie as Lavender Brown in the film franchise - a Gryffindor student in Dumbledore's army.

She also might be remembered as Ron Weasley's girlfriend for a brief time.

Lavender was attacked by werewolf Fenrir Greyback in the Battle of Hogwarts, and died of her injuries.

She has since starred in British sitcom Trollied and E4 drama Glue.

In 2017, she featured in Black Mirror episode Hang the DJ.

As well as being a star of the screen, Jessie has acted in stage productions, such as Thomasina in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and Liv in Breed.

Along with her sister Bebe, Jessie runs a podcast series called We Can't Talk About That Right Now. The sisters tragically lost their sibling Ben Haddon-Cave, 27, in March 2019.

At the beginning of December, Jessie announced she is pregnant and expecting the couple's fourth child.

The happy news comes after they welcomed their son Tennessee in October 2020 after a "traumatic" delivery that left him in the neonatal unit.

After being discharged, he later tested positive for COVID-19.

Speaking to ITV's Lorraine, Jessie said: "The thing about newborns is you have to be so hyper aware of every symptom and just to trust your instincts.

"Within a day of realising he was just kind of changing a little bit, he wasn't feeding as much and his cry was different, it was like a different baby.

"I just went for it and I went into A&E, I think that’s what everyone has to do, they have to be aware of a sudden quick change, because it could have been a completely different story if I hadn't gone in."
