Linda Robson breaks down in tears over son’s murdered friend Ben Kinsella on Loose Women
The Birds of a Feather star wept as she details the night Ben Kinsella died
LINDA Robson broke down in tears on today's Loose Women as she revealed her son was out with Ben Kinsella the night he was brutally murdered in a knife attack.
Ben's sister, EastEnders star Brooke Kinsella, has been campaigning against knife crimes in the eight years since her brother's death.
She appeared today alongside Louisa Lytton ahead of their latest fundraising event for the Ben Kinsella Trust - created following the sixteen-year-old's death.
Ben's life was devastatingly cut short after being stabbed on a night out by three gang members just as he celebrated the end of his GCSE's.
Linda's son Louis was friends with Ben, with the duo growing up and going to school together, and was with him in his last minutes while they waited for an ambulance.
As Brooke recalled the incident to the Loose Women panel, Linda looked uncomfortable before acknowledging that it was difficult to hear.
Linda struggled to get her words out as she discussed the effects Ben's death had on her son - who started suffering from panic attacks and withdrew from those around him as he came to terms with what happened.
Brooke consoled the star as she held back tears, who apologised to viewers as she found it hard to carry on.
After explaining the incident further, Linda gathered herself as she told Brooke: "It's amazing what you're doing."
