Brooklyn Beckham dumped girlfriend Chloe Grace Moretz for being ‘too clingy’
She had apparently moaned every time he left LA to return back to London
WHEN BROOKLYN BECKHAM started dating US actress CHLOE MORETZ, there was more than a hint of of Posh and Becks Mark II about them.
But sadly for fans eager to see a fresh, modern-day version of the power couple, the dream is over.
I can reveal Brooklyn dumped the Kick-Ass star because she was “too clingy” and far too much hard work for a lad his age.
The tipping point came when Chloe, who is based in LA, moaned relentlessly every time he went back to London.
A source said: “Brooklyn is so young with his whole life ahead of him, he basically just didn’t need the aggro.
“He was besotted with her at first, but as time wore on Chloe wanted to become more serious and given he lives on the other side of he Atlantic, it was something he couldn’t offer.
“But, like any youngsters in a relationship, there wouldn’t be much of a surprise if they get back together.
“Especially if they go on to mix in the same circles.”
The pair started dating in 2012 but after being on and off for a few years, they finally turned serious this summer when I revealed they had rekindled their relationship.
Chloe confirmed they were dating during a chat on a US telly show, saying: “We’re in a relationship. It’s fine. It’s no biggie.
“And I think that, you know, the more I don’t make it mysterious, the more that people don’t care. So yes, we’re in a relationship.”
They made their first public appearance together at the premiere of Chloe’s new film Bad Neighbours 2 but their most notorious outing was when they supported HILLARY CLINTON at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in July.
But the relationship hit the skids over the past few weeks when the pair failed to see each other in LA, despite Brooklyn being there with his family.
The wannabe fashion snapper returned to London over the Bank Holiday Weekend where he’ll shortly begin his next year at college, while Chloe was spotted leaving LA herself on Wednesday wearing a ROLLING STONES T-shirt.
You Can’t Always Get What You Want, Chloe.

Beiber’s six pac
JUSTIN BIEBER could have done with some Cold Water for his run around Hollywood.
He went for this topless jog after his holiday in Mexico with girlfriend SOFIA RICHIE.
Later Justin, who will be supported by Liverpool’s MIC LOWRY on the European leg of his Purpose tour this month, kicked off BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge Month with a cover of Thugz Mansion by TUPAC.
Perhaps a rap album is not far off.
Mel’s one in a minion
MEL B appears to be working on her Scary look ahead of THE SPICE GIRLS’ huge comeback.
The America’s Got Talent judge spent Wednesday dressed like an evil purple Minion from Despicable Me.
But while the outfit may have raised eyebrows over lunch at hubby STEPHEN BELAFONTE’s Serafina restaurant in LA, I’m sure her daughters Phoenix Chi, Angel and Madison would have loved it.
It’s the thought of wearing latex in the LA sun I find scary.
Kelly snub
AS far as music CVs go, you can’t get much better than 20 years in Welsh rock band STEREOPHONICS.
That’s why The Voice UK has been desperate to get singer KELLY JONES to follow countryman TOM JONES and join the judging panel for the ITV revamp, as I told you in June.
Now Kelly has revealed why he’s snubbed the show, saying: “I’ve had emails about the new Voice, but being on mainstream TV isn’t something that appeals to me.”
He and bandmates RICHARD JONES, ADAM ZINDANI and JAMIE MORRISON are busy enough headlining tomorrow’s Gibraltar Music Festival.
Plus, they have recorded their tenth studio album, which should be out next year – 20 years after their first album release.
With all that going on it’s no wonder Kelly doesn’t have time.
He’s Sykes mad
WHEN THE WANTED split, it was far from amicable.
Now two years on, NATHAN SYKES has written new song I Can’t Be Mad about the end of the band, admitting the lads went through some terrible times in the final months.
Speaking about the track – on his debut album Unfinished Business, out on November 4 – he said: “I Can’t Be Mad is just so vulnerable. I was in such a dark place when I wrote that.
“There was a time just before the end where it was really, really dark. It was all happening, a couple of us were in quite a bad place.
“We had lost family members, been through break-ups and all sorts and it all took its toll at once.
“Then we decided we were going to take a break. It lifted the weight off our shoulders a bit.
“It wasn’t until I started writing in those sessions where I was like, ‘God, I really had a tough time’. Reflecting on it was like therapy.”
If only songwriting could help everyone get through their problems.
