YouTube stars slam the website as THIS new update stops them making money with their videos

POPULAR vloggers who make a full time income from the website will now have to rethink their content

YOUTUBE stars have hit out against the site after it has put a ban on monetising videos which contain any words deemed "inappropriate."

Popular vloggers, who earn a full time income from the adverts that play before their videos on the site, are now having to censor content if they wish to profit from it.

British vlogger ChipDaddyTV, who boasts 123,000 subscribers, slammed the new rules on Twitter.

The social media star, real name Jamie Cottrell, wrote: “So the new YouTube rules state you can't swear. anybody know of any full time jobs going?”

Angry subscribers continued the backlash by creating the hashtag #YouTubeIsOverParty on Twitter.

The new update from YouTube reads: “Content that is considered not advertiser-friendly includes, but is not limited to:

“Sexually suggestive content, including partial nudity and sexual humour.

“Violence, including display of serious injury and events related to violent extremism.

“Inappropriate language, including harassment, swearing and vulgar language.”

American vlogger, Philip DeFranco, also hit out in a video to his 4.5 million subscribers.

After his most recent video was flagged by the site, he ranted: “Based on this update [my video wasn’t monetised] because I used excessively strong language.

“Taking away the monetisation is a form of censorship.”

Jay from the Kubz Scouts told his 977,000 subscribers: “I [swear] a lot, it’s part of my language.

“It doesn’t mean I’m a bad guy – It’s just how we speak.

Other popular YouTuber stars who could face issues with the update include Zoella, Alfie Deyes and Joe Sugg who occasionally curse in their daily vlogs.
