DANIELLE Lloyd has revealed her fiance Michael O'Niell saw his life flash before his eyes as he was attacked by a dog over the weekend.
The electrician has been left needing physio and was told he could have been killed during the terrifying attack in front of Danielle, who described it as the most horrifying experience of her life.
The dog – which Danielle believes was a pitbull cross – has since been put down. It belonged to one of her friends
The mum-of-three had been enjoying a day out on Michael’s motorbike over the Bank Holiday weekend when they stopped off at friend’s house.
Opening up about the experience on Loose Women, she recalled: “I went out on Michael’s motorbike for the first time. I thought that would be the craziest thing that day."
Once they arrived at the house Michael went inside while she stayed in the garden but somehow the dog had broken off from its chain.
Noticing he was loose Michael shouted out to his wife-to-be to get out the garden and shut the gate behind her, which she did.
However she was then forced to watch Michael being attacked.
"I had to watch helplessly as Michael got attacked knowing there was nothing I could do,” she revealed.
“I was so glad the kids weren’t there because there is no way they would have survived because he was strong.”
As she watched on in horror Michael had to fight the dog. She said: “He had to wrestle the dog and he was able to get out of the gate."
“I was so thankful that he had got me to safety.”
At this stage the dog had blood pouring from its mouth and she said “his eyes were bulging out his head".
She continued: “I have never been so terrified. I imagined the dog somehow getting back out.”
She revealed that all she could think was “we need to get this dog put down or somewhere safe so it can’t harm anyone else".
Michael was taken to hospital for the wounds on his back and was told he could have died if the dog's teeth had hit an artery.
Since then Danielle says the couple have decided to live life to the full because "you never know what is going to happen".
