BIG Fat Gypsy Wedding star Paddy Doherty swore live on This Morning as he spoke about what life is like at school for the travelling community.

Appearing on the show with his granddaughter Margaret, presenter Eamonn Holmes asked him what his education was like and he said: "We were told to f***ing sit in a corner."

“My education was bad, I was just like, go to school, get put in a corner, get in a fight. Well, when I say get in a fight, get a beating, get a hiding, a way of life.

“That time was really, really racist towards travellers. We were nothing, like muck on a shoe. You go to school, go in the corner, f***ing sit in a corner. All day.”

He added that was one of the reasons he wanted his granddaughter to have an education to have something he never had and added: “To read, write, spell, go on computers –to be everything.
“I’ve done that with all my sons and my daughter, they can read and write and spell and are very good on computers. They are well educated.”

The subject will be spoken about on new show Gypsy Kids: Our Secret World on Channel 5 – which Paddy said will give a different insight into their world.
“Their innocence is the beauty and they’re going to see a side they’ve never seen of gypsies, of travellers.

“Fat Gypsy Wedding was the bling bling and all, but that’s irrelevant now. This is the children now.”

After the interview had finished, Eamonn turned to the camera and said: "During that last [segment] you may have noticed something that Paddy may or may not have said.

"He disputes this. But he did apologise on air and we would certainly like to say sorry in case you were offended by anything that was said."

But viewers certainly weren't as they took to Twitter to laugh off his profanity as one wrote: "Why are people bothered about Paddy dropping the F-bomb , We've all said it."

Another added: "Love that Paddy just swore on ITV this morning while talking about racism LoL."

And to anyone who had complained, one viewer wrote: "I can't say I like Paddy but I'd rather watch an interview with him than some stuck up z-lister spouting PR spin. Stop moaning!"
