Outrage as Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke brutally stabs a crocodile to death on Bear Grylls telly show The Island
International Animal Rescue claim it is 'unacceptable to kill animals for entertainment'
ANIMAL charities have slammed Channel 4 for scenes which show Made in Chelsea star Ollie Locke killing a crocodile.
The posh reality TV star will be seen jumping on the back of the predator and stabbing it through the rear of its neck as part of survival show The Island with Bear Grylls.
Alan Knight, of International Animal Rescue, said: “I feel it is totally unacceptable to kill or abuse animals for entertainment."
Knight claimed the animal would have “suffered unnecessarily” as the 29-year-old would not have a clue how to do it “humanely”.
Locke, who looks visibly uncomfortable during the slaughter, kills the beast after being encouraged to do it by fellow contestant Karen Danczuk.
The programme, which challenges the celebrities to see if they can survive on a remote island for two weeks, will air in October as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer fundraising programming.

This comes after recent scenes on the broadcaster’s Eden, which showed one of the participants cut open a pregnant sheep and pull out an unborn lamb.
The ewe and the lamb were then cooked and eaten.
Knight also called for Channel 4 to "reconsider" showing the episode.
A Channel 4 spokesman said: “Those on the island all received training on how to kill animals humanely and this was utilised properly in each instance.”
