Katie, 43, wrote on Instagram: "I would like to thank my family - my children, my mum dad, sister, brother, my partner Carl, Leigh and my friends who have supported me throughout these past few months.

"It's been a really difficult time and I'm incredibly sorry for my actions.

"I'm sincerely grateful nobody was hurt.

"I realise the damage my actions could have caused, not only to another family, but to my own as well.

"I'm now spending time getting better. Mental health is a hidden illness and can strike at any time.

"The triggers that cause my anxiety and behaviour are something I'm trying to understand, come to terms with and learn to control moving forward.

The mum-of-five avoided jail yesterday for a booze and cocaine-fuelled car crash during her sixth road ban.

She got a suspended term after rehab and a Las Vegas holiday - leaving campaigners furious at a “mockery of justice”.

Repeat offenders would usually face a minimum of 12 weeks behind bars.

But a legal loophole meant that because Price went to rehab and complied with a deferral — even while on holiday in America — her sentence was reduced below the custody threshold.

She was handed a sentence of 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months, 100 hours of unpaid work, 20 sessions of rehabilitation work with probation, and a two-year driving ban.

She will also pay £213 in costs. The court was told that she already owes the court £7,358.

Katie pled guilty to the charges on September 29, a day after crashing her Range Rover on the B2135 near Partridge Green.

At the scene, she told police: "I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all".

At Crawley magistrates’ court yesterday, District Judge Amanda Kelly admitted the public would be “appalled” — and that she deserved to be spending Christmas behind bars.

Last night police said they would try to lodge an appeal.
