Josie Gibson reveals trolls made her lose weight – as she was happy being a size 24

The 31-year-old found it tough when she first joined social media

JOSIE Gibson has revealed that she may not have lost weight if she hadn’t been trolled.

The 31-year-old, who was a size 24, famously lost a whopping seven stone and became a personal trainer following her rise to fame on Big Brother.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain about the abuse she has received, she revealed: “I thought I was half-about [attractive] and then I went on Twitter and it was bad as you're constantly being put down.

“I joined Twitter and that was when it really hit home that I wasn’t good looking. It wasn’t just one person saying it, it was loads of people saying it.”

The blonde went on to admit that she’s not sure she would have changed her life around if it hadn’t been for the constant comments.

“I always wonder if I would have done something about it if I hadn’t have joined Twitter,” she shared.

Josie, who recently revealed that she has a mass of excess skin following her weight loss, went on to discuss how she wouldn’t want to be a young girl in this day and age.

She said: “I've got two little sisters and I feel so sorry for them because they are growing up in this world where everyone is striving for perfection and it doesn't exist.

“When you [do see someone looking perfect], they've got a team of make-up artists, there are filters.”

And she revealed she was shocked when an app removed her freckles, saying: “I took a pic using an app and it removed my freckles - I couldn't believe it as I thought my freckles were alright.”
