Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor ‘turn down big money offers’ to concentrate on their budding relationship

MARNIE Simpson and Lewis Bloor  have shunned big money magazine deals in order to prove their relationship is not a showmance.

The couple, who met in the Celebrity Big Brother house, have been plagued by doubters over the nature of their romance thanks to their strong reality TV backgrounds.

But determined to show the world what they have is real the former Towie star and Geordie Shore beauty have decided to keep the more intimate details of their romance underwraps – despite both laying their love lives bare in the past.

A source close to the lovebirds told The Sun Online: “Lewis and Marnie are well aware what people are saying about their relationship. They know that things moved very quickly between them in the house but they truly believe what they have is genuine.

“They both have enough experience in the industry to know that the way to persuade people they are for real is by not shoving it in their faces.

“Of course they’ve been inundated with offers for mag shoots since leaving the house but despite some of the offers being very tempting, they have turned them all down so far. Instead they plan on keeping their romance mostly to themselves without OTT shoots and endless interviews.”

Since leaving the house the pair have been spending quality time together – and even went on their first date.

The source added: “The pair have really been enjoying each other’s company away from the spotlight.  They’ve been getting to know each other all over again – without the prying cameras.”

In the past Marnie, 24, has played out all her romances in the public eye and with that came numerous shoots.

She even announced her engagement to Ricky Rayment in a magazine and the couple did numerous shoots together, including ones in their underwear.

Lewis has also been very open up about his relationships in the past –  with them often playing out on TV for all to see.

He regularly opened up about his romance with Lauren Pope when they were dating.

During Marnie and Lewis’ time in the house they were regularly questioned about whether they relationship was for real – even by their fellow housemates.

Heavy D told them: “You can’t fall in live after two weeks it’s impossible!”

Lewis, who spent a lot of time defending his honour in the house, told him that ‘two weeks is enough to plant a seed.’

But Heavy just fired back: “A showmance doesn’t get you further in the game.”

Speaking after leaving the house, Lewis described Marnie as a ‘passion project’ as he denied it was a showmance.

He told New magazine: “Marnie for me is not a job. She is a passion project, and I don’t want to get paid for that.”
