Towie hunk Pete Wicks mourns the loss of his beloved dog Ernest after his sudden death
Reality star shared his sadness over his canine's death on Instagram
PETE Wicks has revealed his heartbreak at the sudden death of one of his beloved dogs.
The Towie hunk is a massive dog-lover, and regularly shares snaps of his pooches Eric and Ernest, but on Tuesday, the 27-year-old posted the sad news that one of his French bull dogs had passed away.
He wrote: "Words can't describe how heartbroken I am to have suddenly lost one of the best things to have ever come in to my life.
"My boy Ernest wasn't just a dog to me, he was my best friend. Things will never be the same.
"I'm thankful to him for teaching me a lot about myself and everything about unconditional love. He will always be in my heart. R.I.P Ernest #Wolfpack".

Pete shared the news alongside a touching photo of him with Ernest, with the dog looking up and licking his master as the reality star holds him close and glances down at him while dressed in a smart suit.
The star has regularly spoken about his love of his two rescue dogs, revealing to Fabulous magazine earlier this year that he prefers animals to humans sometimes.
He said: "They’re more loyal. If you treat them well, they don’t judge you.
"I have a pair of rescue French bulldogs called Eric and Ernest. I talk to them like they’re my kids — it’s embarrassing!
"They also sleep in bed with me. The only opinions that matter to me are my nan’s and my dogs."
Pete's girlfriend Megan McKenna was quick to share her own sorrow at the passing of her boyfriend's beloved pet, sharing a snap of her with Ernest on her own Instagram page.
She captioned the cute shot of the pooch nuzzling the side of her face: "Rest in peace Little man, You'll be missed Ernest."
Pete also received words of condolence from his fellow Towie co-stars past and present, with Lauren Pope tweeting: "So sorry to hear this @P_Wicks01 thoughts are with you";, and Chloe Sims adding: "So sorry @P_Wicks01 sending you lots of love xxx".
Mario Falcone also tweeted his pal, writing: "Sending my love to @P_Wicks01...Sorry for your loss brother x".
