Emmerdale’s James Hooton shares bizarre conspiracy theory that banks are microchipping people to access their money

EMMERDALE star James Hooton has claimed the UK needs to "de-centralised banking" in his latest bizarre rant online.

The 48-year-old took to Twitter yesterday to repost a video by Professor Richard Werner in which the academic claims the Bank of England has created microchips to implant under people's skin so they can access their money.

The 2018 video featuring the German economist, 54, was shared on the micro-blogging site last October but James only chose to share it last night.

Retweeting the clip, James penned: "I’ve been following professor Werner for some time now.

"Here he summarises why we need de-centralised banking rather than centralised control."

James' latest conspiracy to raise eyebrows comes two months after he compared the UK government's Covid-19 jab rollout to the Nazi party.

The actor slammed Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his cabinet, comparing them to totalitarian leader Big Brother in George Orwell's 1984.

James has previously claimed that his immune system and taking vitamins were enough to help him fight the deadly disease.

He has been promoting anti-vaccination messages on his social platforms for months and slamming the UK's vaccine rollout.

In October, the Sam Dingle actor has taken to Twitter to compare the rollout to the rise of the Nazis by invoking a Winston Churchill quote.

"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears," he quoted of George Orwell's chilling dystopian novel 1984.

"It was their final, most essential command. And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth."

He followed up with the Churchill quote, which was made after Hitler eized Czechoslovakia before the Second War.

"You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves," the then Prime Minister said.

His anti-vaccination stance at the time was said to be causing heads to be scratched within ITV due to strict filming rules on the soap.

Emmerdale - and Coronation Street - were locked down for months during the pandemic and resumed filming under strict social distancing measures.

In September, Rules were relaxed, allowing the stars of the soap to form bubbles and then take regular Covid tests before filming.

Most of the cast and crew on the soaps have had both their doses of the Covid vaccination, but some are refusing to get the jab.

Sam Dingle star James has been vocal on Twitter about not wanting to get the vaccine - and slamming British politicians.

At the time, he hit out at Health Secretary Sajid Javid for advocating that all health care workers should be vaccinated.

He also regularly likes and re-tweets messages promoting natural immunity to Covid and anti-vaccination messages.
