Dani Dyer’s ex Sammy Kimmence heartbroken after Covid lockdown at prison crushes his Christmas wish to see his son

DANI Dyer’s ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence will miss out on seeing their son at Christmas due to being on lockdown in prison.

The TV star’s former partner was jailed for 42 months after scamming vulnerable pensioners out of £34,000 in a sick financial investor fraud scheme.

Sammy, 25, splashed his ill-gotten gains on expensive restaurants, hotels and clothes before he was sent to prison for three-and-a-half years.

Sleazy Sammy, a stockbroker and amateur football player, had persuaded Peter Marin and Peter Haynes to allow him to invest their money for them.

It came shortly after he welcomed baby son Santiago with Love Island star Dani, 24 – who has since been brought up solo by his doting mum.

While the reality TV star dumped the fraudster, she had previously allowed limited visitation hours with her son’s dad at category-B HMP Winchester.

Since being moved to an undisclosed nick, defiant Dani has refused to take her infant son as she worried over the “toxic environment” for her firstborn.

Now, The Sun Online can reveal that Sammy won’t get to see Santiago over the Christmas period due to lockdown rules in his new prison.

An insider revealed that the jail has been locked down due to Covid regulations, meaning visitation for Christmas has been cancelled.

The source explained: “Obviously Sammy is heartbroken as he wanted to see his son, but at the end of the day, rules are rules.”

In July, Sammy was seen breaking down in tears as he was sentenced to 42 months after scamming two victims, 80 and 90 years old, out of their cash.

His victims were clients at legitimate investment company Equine Global Sports Limited, where Kimmence worked as a senior trader.

The company received money from customers which it would use to place bets on horse races, on their behalf.

But Portsmouth Crown Court heard Kimmence took the clients on when the business went into liquidation, falsely claiming he was authorised to provide financial services.

One victim was left “living on the breadline” after the dodgy dealer splashed the cash in nightclubs and on a personalised number plate for his Mercedes.

The slimy defendant initially denied all charges – but changed his plea at the last minute to guilty.

Prosecutor Mike Mason said: “This was a very unpleasant fraud against two men who Mr Kimmence deliberately targeted.

“He targeted them because they were old, they were vulnerable and somewhat isolated.

“This wasn’t something he migrated into from a friendship. This was something he planned.”

The court heard Kimmence travelled to visit Mr Haynes and Mr Martin at their homes several times as he “groomed them”.
