Coronation Street’s Samia Ghadie reveals a medium told her she would meet her Dancing On Ice husband Sylivaian Longchambon
The newlywed reveals how a psychic led her to her new hubby
CORRIE’S Samia Ghadie has revealed how a medium told her she would meet her new husband Sylivaian Longchambon.
The couple, who met on Dancing On Ice, got hitched earlier this month and the soap star says that psychic led her to her man.
Talking to this week’s Ok! magazine the pretty 34-year-old told how she went to see a medium after her dad passed away in 2009, she explained: “I first visited her about a year before I did Dancing On Ice, and she asked me: ‘Who is Leon?’ I said I didn’t know anybody called Leon.
“Then she said my dad was saying the word Lyon, and it could mean the place in France.’”
The actress then went on to explain that her new hubby actually grew up in Lyon in France.
She added: “Everything she said didn’t seem to make sense, but after we had got together it all just clicked into place.”
Samia also revealed all about her star-studded wedding.
She told the mag that her little girl Freya was a big part of the nuptials: “Freya walked me down the aisle.
“I didn’t want her to give me away as she’s never going to have to give me away in her life, so she walked me down the aisle.”
Samia, whose dad Joseph passed away from cancer, explained more: ‘It was very emotional as I had Freya by my side, as my dad wasn’t there with me.”
She also said the wedding was “good” for the six-year-old: “She has got her dad [Matthew Smith, Samia’s ex-husband] and Hayley [his partner].
“They’re having a baby, too.
“So she has two sets of parents.
She loves the fact that we’re married.
“It’s like cementing everybody together.’
They were originally planning to get married in France, but decided on Delamere Manor in February.
She explained that the ceremony was tailored so that it was personal to their relationship: “At the end we had a sand ceremony.
“We each had a vial of sand – mine was lemon coloured and Sylvain’s was blue.
“We took it in turns to pour the sand into another vial.
“That signified that our love is inseparable, as you cannot separate grains of sand.
The Sun exclusively revealed the details of their intimate ceremony set in the British countryside.
A source told us: “Samia and Sylvian tied the knot in a romantic ceremony at Gary Barlow’s old home,
Delamere Manor, in Cheshire.
“Guests including Samia’s Corrie co-stars Catherine Tyldesley, Shayne Ward and Antony Cotton drove in on a gold cart.”
They added: “Wedding favours were cookies with ‘S&S on them’.
The 100 acre Delamere Manor, in Cuddington, Cheshire – which can host weddings parties for 50 to 250
guests – was owned by Take That frontman Gary Barlow.
He lived in the country pile for one decade before selling it 11 years ago.
It boasts six bedrooms, its own nightclub, three huge reception rooms, manicured gardens, a Victorian
pump house and a six-acre lake.
Acting as ushers were chocolatier Oli Dunn and personal trainer to the stars Maz Ajtar.
Taking to social media afterwards, Maz revealed that the celebrations had gone on until the wee hours.
He tweeted: “Dancing til 5am,” followed by a champagne emoji.
Also tweeting the newlyweds was Anthony’s other half Peter Eccleston.
He wrote: “We laughed & danced all day yesterday celebrating @realsamia & @slongchambon wedding.
Thanks for the best day you two.”
For his own part, Antony – who plays Sean Tully in the long-running ITV soap – had uploaded a picture of a silver envelope with the words ‘mr & mrs’ written across it.
He captioned the snap: “We’re so excited…! @realsamia @slongchambon.”
Meanwhile, Catherine – who is currently embroiled in a love triangle with Samia’s character Maria – also sent her best wishes.
She gushed: “The most gorgeous day for a beautiful couple! Thankyou @realsamia and @slongchambon.”
Samia, 34, and Sylvain, 36, first met when partnered together on ITV skating show Dancing On Ice in 2013.
They share 11-month-old son Yves together.
