Liam Payne jetted 5,500 miles and was paid a fortune to attend 15th birthday party in Brazil
I LOVE a party as much as the next person, but I draw the line at travelling halfway across the world.
However, it’s all in a day’s work for former One Direction star Liam Payne, who was paid a small fortune to sing for a 15-year-old girl at the weekend.
Liam jetted 5,500 miles to Goiânia, in Brazil, to perform a 14-song set at the private bash, including hits Strip That Down and Bedroom Floor.
A source said: “Liam was booked to attend the party at the start of the summer by a doting father who wanted to go all out for his daughter’s big day.
"No expense was spared, with Liam and his team having to make multiple flights to get to the venue, including via private jet. The booking was so big that even Liam’s tour manager was involved.”
The gig was the first time Liam has been on stage since I revealed he had been dropped by his management amid concerns over his party lifestyle.
I doubt things would have got too out of hand for him at a teenager’s birthday party, mind.
After a series of false starts when it comes to Liam’s solo career, hopefully 2022 will bring in a fresh beginning.

Leona Xmas gig – 2022
LEONA LEWIS has announced her first headline tour in six years – although fans will have to wait another 12 months for the shows.
Her Christmas With Love tour will kick off at Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo on November 30 next year and run for 12 dates, ending in the Brighton Centre on December 17.
Of the gigs, which will feature greatest hits as well as her best festive tunes, she said: “After such a challenging year I can’t wait to celebrate with my fans and experience that feeling of togetherness again.
“It really is a dream come true to be able to create this special night – and at my favourite time of year too.”
Rochelle dad-in-law bath flash
THE family reunion at the Humes’ house could be an awkward one this Christmas.
Rochelle accidentally video-called her father-in-law while naked.
The singer-turned-presenter was chatting with pals on an app last year when the blunder occurred, as she didn’t realise anyone could join the virtual “room” she was in.
She said at the Glamour Weekender event on Saturday: “In lockdown me and my friends enjoyed this app called Houseparty. I had the most terrible encounter with my father-in-law on it.
“I was in the bath, pregnant, no one told me they could get into your ‘room’, and I was like, ‘What is this?’ He was there. That was one awkward moment too many.”
Rochelle has previously posted stunning snaps online in an outdoor bath while wearing a swimming costume. But that is a blunder it is hard to recover from.
Third Magic Mike
CHANNING TATUM is to return as stripper Mike Lane in a third Magic Mike movie.
He put a photo of the script on his Instagram page last night, revealing it will be called Magic Mike’s Last Dance. The 2012 movie has also spawned a stage show in London and Las Vegas.
Covid KO for Steps
STEPS have been forced to cancel the remaining dates of their What The Future Holds tour after they were hit by Covid for the third time.
The group have battled through their concerts despite Faye Tozer and being forced to isolate after testing positive.
But yesterday they revealed they would have to cancel this week’s shows in Cardiff and Bournemouth – their final performances of the tour – because of “further positive Covid-19 cases in our touring party”.
But it is not all bad news, they are planning to return to the cities as part of their 25th anniversary tour next summer.

IT takes a lot to get me feeling festive these days but Elton John and Ed Sheeran have done it.
The chart-topping duo and unlikely best friends have released a teaser for their new single Merry Christmas, which will be out on Friday.

In a clip officially announcing the collaboration, Ed takes inspiration from festive favourite Love Actually by holding up a series of cards, confirming the song’s release as Elton grins at his front door.
Alongside a serious amount of sleigh bells on the tune, Ed sings: “So kiss me under the mistletoe, pour out the wine. Let’s toast and pray for December snow, I know there’s been pain this year but it’s time to let it go.” He’s not kidding . . .
