Who is Suzi Ruffell and who is her wife Alice Storey?

SINCE cementing her name in the world of comedy, Suzi Ruffell has enjoyed incredible success.

As well as five sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the acclaimed comic has become a familiar face on the box.

Who is Suzi Ruffell? 

Born on January 18, 1986, Suzi Ruffell is a British comedian, writer, and actress.

She was born in Portsmouth to her father who buys and sells lorries and her mother who became his assistant after raising both Suzi and her older brother.

I got into comedy because I loved comedy... It never even occurred to me that I could make a career out of it.

The Brighton-based comedian first got into the world of entertainment when she joined a youth drama group.

In 2008, she began her stand-up comedy career and has been performing as a full time comic since 2012.

Suzi is best known for her appearances on Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, The Show, Roast Battle, Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier, Hypothetical, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, The Comedy Bus, Stand Up Central, Harry Hill’s ClubNite and Suzi Ruffell Live From The Comedy Store.

The popular star is also a regular on BBC Radio 4, and has her own podcast called Out with Suzi Ruffell.

Speaking about her passion for comedy, Suzi told : "I got into comedy because I loved comedy.

"It never even occurred to me that I could make a career out of it.”

Is Suzi Ruffell married and does she have children?

Suzi is married to wife Alice, who is head of investor relations for a finance company in London. 

The couple tend to keep their relationship private, but Suzi has previously opened up about when they got engaged.

Speaking to , she joked: "Alice proposed marriage and I thought it was one of her best ideas to date, putting a last minute trip to Disneyland Paris and Marmite with avocado on toast into second and third places respectively."

Alice and Suzi had to postpone their wedding due to the pandemic in 2020, but they were finally able to get married in 2021,

The couple do not have any children, and they live together in East London.

Is Suzi Ruffell in The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2024?

In 2024, it was revealed Suzi was part of the Celebrity Bake Off line-up which will air in the Spring.

The comedian took to Instagram to reveal the big news, and said: "Absolutely loved being part of Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer.

"Also big lol to my little head poking out in the group shot.";

Suzi will be joined in the famous white tent by a batch of well known faces, including Sara Cox and Spencer Matthews.
