Smitten Joey Essex confesses ‘we like each other’ as he reveals the truth behind his new relationship with Charlotte Crosby

JOEY Essex has opened up about his feelings for Charlotte Crosby, confessing, “we really like each other.”

The pair are currently taking part in new dating show, Celebs Go Dating, and while the famous folk are meant to be dating regular people, it seems like Joey Essex would rather be with the Geordie Shore babe.

"We like each other. When we walk down the street, I put my arm around her. We're really close. I like Charlotte,” he told Mirror TV.

“I think we've got a little soft spot for each other. She's a really nice girl and we really get on."

And it’s not just Charlotte’s killer figure that Joey’s smitten with, he’s been totally won over by her charms.

"She has the type of personality I'd go for," he revealed.

"She's nice, she's crazy - I was going to say she's like me but she's not. She's not like me at all. She's a nice girl and people like her as well. I think she's nice."

And while Charlotte isn’t exactly shouting from the rooftops that she likes Joey back, the ex-Towie favourite is still feeling optimistic.

"She always says she doesn't [fancy me] but I knew she did."

Joey and Charlotte were seen looking cosy the other night - could this mean that she's moving on from Ash Harrison already?
